Meet My Brand
ἀγάπη, pronounced agápē, is the ancient Greek word for Love.
The highest form of love, commitment, or passion. The love of nature for man and of man for the mystery of nature -or the divine, according to religious people.
The verb form goes as far back as Homer, translated literally as affection. Other ancient authors have used forms of the word to denote love of a particular activity.
As an English word (pronounced /əˈ-ɡeɪp/) it means "in a state of astonishment".
I find this serendipitous superposition of meanings fascinating. In a way, it represents my business vision perfectly well.
I believe that whatever we do has a meaning only when it stems from our deepest love and dedication. Furthermore, the results of our strategies and products should always aim at disrupting, innovating, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible today: leaving the end-users in a "state of wonder and astonishment".
Incidentally, agape contains various syllables from my family's surnames. Without them (my family), I would have never got this far.
